Good evening. Thanks for taking my call. My wife and I bought a horse ranch back in 1995, about ten acres out in Rainbow Valley. We had this dream, you know, peaceful life running a horse rescue. We'd been saving up for years to make it happen. The place was perfect when we first saw it. Had everything we needed for the horses, good land, decent house. We moved in June first, 1996. I remember because it was my wife Linda's birthday weekend, and we were so excited to finally be there. Spent the first few days just getting settled, unpacking boxes, setting up the corrals. Normal stuff. Then things started. Not all at once, but quick enough. Maybe a week after we moved in, I was out by the barn one evening and I saw these lights in the sky. Not like aircraft lights. These were different. They moved in ways that didn't make sense, stopping and starting, changing direction instantly. I watched them for maybe ten minutes before they just blinked out.

After that first sighting, it became a regular thing. We'd see the lights two, three times a week. Sometimes closer, sometimes farther off. Linda saw them too, so I knew I wasn't losing it. But it was more than just lights in the sky. The horses started acting strange. They'd get spooked for no reason, refuse to go near certain parts of the property. Our dog would bark at empty air, just staring at spots where nothing was visible. We started getting these experiences inside the house too. You'd feel like you were being watched. Cold spots in rooms that had no reason to be cold. One night, maybe three months in, I woke up around 2 AM and the whole bedroom was lit up with this bluish light coming through the window. I got up to look and there was this craft hovering maybe 300 feet away, completely silent. Just hanging there in the air above our back pasture. That's when I realized we weren't just seeing random UFOs passing through. Something was focused on our property specifically. And here's the thing, I found this black stone out by the fence line a few days after that. Round, smooth, with this weird carved pattern on it. The thing was hot to the touch even though it was sitting in shade. I put on work gloves and moved it way out into the desert, didn't want it anywhere near the house.

The real encounters started maybe a year and a half in. I was alone one night, Linda had gone to visit her sister in Tucson. Around midnight I heard something in the living room. Not like an animal or a person, more like a humming sound, low frequency. I grabbed my pistol and went to check. There were three of them standing in my living room. Grey skin, big black eyes, maybe four and a half feet tall. They turned to look at me when I came in. I fired twice, center mass, and I'm a good shot. The bullets went right through them like they weren't even solid. They just stood there, and then one of them moved toward me. I swung at it with the gun, connected with something that felt real enough, and it made this sound. High pitched, not like anything I'd ever heard. Then they were just gone. Vanished. No doors opening, no running away, just gone. The smell though, that stayed. Like burnt electronics and something else, something organic and wrong. Linda came home the next day and I told her what happened. She believed me because she'd been feeling it too, that presence in the house. We both had these marks on our bodies by then. Unexplained bruises, little puncture marks like from needles. We'd wake up with them and have no memory of how they got there.
